You spoke. We listened. Performance management is about how we support each other. We knew that we needed to make a change to become an effective performance driven culture with an ongoing practice of aligning to goals using constructive collaborative feedback as the driving force. We understand that authentic conversations are critical to fostering good habits, shifting one's mindset and impacting results. This new framework is based on your feedback and designed to support natural, ongoing conversations that align what we do, how we do it, and why we do it. We aspire to create a powerful culture of coaching and development, where open dialogue and prioritized goals set the pace for incremental improvements that build our success together. 3 Key Pillars of Qlik Conversations

Set Priorities

Setting Priorities with your leader ensures you are both in sync and goals are aligned with the needs of your team, function, and Qlik. Both you and your leader can enter Priorities. They can also change with time. Aim for 3-5 work Priorities and 1-2 development priorities. They don’t have to cover all aspects of your job but should capture what is critical to your success. At minimum, Priorities should be time-bound. Use the calendar feature to set a due date, and you can also add attachments. Consider both long term and short term Priorities to maximize your success.

Manage Check-Ins

Frequent, ongoing conversations help you get the coaching and support you need to perform and grow. A Check-in is a natural, ongoing conversation between you and your leader dedicated to supporting you with your goals and your development. Unlike regular 1:1 meetings, Checkins should focus specifically on your performance and development Priorities, not daily operations. Here are some sample questions to get you thinking about how to have richer conversations around personal development. Both team member and leader can enter and schedule Check-Ins which should happen at least quarterly and once between quarters (8x per year) to ensure alignment.

Empower with Feedback

Honest feedback is among the most valuable gifts you can receive and share with others. Requesting feedback allows you to participate in driving your own career, leveraging the expertise of your leader and peers unique perspectives, to support your development. When you share feedback with others, you empower them to grow. When you receive feedback, you grow. Rremember to take the opportunity to self-reflect, grow professionally, and be thankful for the insights you receive. Frequent feedback is better than deep feedback received too late! These conversations are critical for a performance driven culture.

Getting Started

Leaders will communicate priorities for their team. Once shared, you can begin to set priorities in alignment with those goals. Be sure to set SMART Goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relvant and Time-bound. For more information on setting SMART Goals, click here.

HOW TO ACCESS
Qlik Conversations is accessible on the INSPIRE website via Okta, our Single Sign On Service (SSO). Once you are signed into Okta, visit the Inspire Website home page.

  • Sign into Okta.
  • Visit the Inspire Website home page.
  • Click on the waffle icon in the upper right corner of the top navigation tool bar on the screen to access your Qlik Conversations Dashboard.
  • Use your dashboard to recognize colleagues, set priorities, initiate check-ins and manage feedback. Watch our tutorial video to learn more about the features and functions available.
